5 Easy Steps To Clean Your Artificial Grass

For some, the idea of cleaning artificial grass can seem intimidating.

At Astro Klean, we want to share the five simple steps to keep your artificial grass looking its best. We’re also here if you need help cleaning, sanitising or restoring your artificial grass.

1. Sweep away debris:

You can use a broom or blower to remove leaves, dirt and other debris from your artificial grass. Removing debris from the grass will keep dirt from penetrating the blades, making them easier to clean overall.

2. Clean up spills:

If you have pets or children playing around your artificial turf, there will always be spills that happen. To minimise or avoid staining, clean any liquid spills promptly with warm soapy water and a soft cloth.

3. Deodorize:

If your artificial lawn starts to smell, apply a natural odour-removing solution such as baking soda or vinegar to help neutralise odours. Simply mix the baking soda or vinegar with water in a spray bottle and lightly mist the affected area. Let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing it off.

For a quick solution, you can also use Astro Klean’s synthetic grass sanitisers.

4. Remove stains:

For tougher stains, you may need to use a mild detergent or even more powerful cleaning solutions such as bleach or hydrogen peroxide. Just be sure to spot-test first and then follow the directions on the label for diluting and/or applying the cleaner.

For a safe and robust solution, you can use Astro Klean’s synthetic grass sanitisers.

For the quickest and most effective solution, you can hire Astro Klean’s team to clean up, sanitise or restore your synthetic lawn at an affordable price.

5. Rinse it off:

After you’ve tackled any spills, odours or stains, the last step is to rinse your artificial grass with a hose and water. This will help remove any remaining dirt or cleaning solution residue.
